Swedish authorities are considering the suspension of the online gambling industry. It is believed that the measure will prevent the harm associated with excessive gambling fad at the time of isolation and quarantine measures. Previously, such a decision already taken in Latvia. Gambling regulator Spelinspektionen country confirmed iGB, that the government is considering the introduction of measures to help protect customers in connection with the quarantine.

 Minister of Social Welfare Ardalan Shekarabi responsible for the gambling segment, said that extreme measures against the operators will be applied if the operators do not take action to protect the rights of consumers.

 Industry representatives were alarmed by the prospect of termination of the work market.

 So, the company BonusFinder, which specializes in providing affiliate marketing services, said that over the past two weeks the number of registrations in the online gambling sites has increased by 33%. These 17 companies were granted licensees of 60 on the market.

 Against this background, BonusFinde conducted a study, the results of which indicate that almost a third of the Swedish players in the online casino are seeking proposals from illegal operators. More and more consumers are choosing offshore operators. This is explained by the fact that the Swedish market are used too stringent rules with respect to the licensed market participants.

 Hoffshtedt said that currently licensed operators only cover 75% of the market, and not 90% as was assumed at startup.
